Warehouse Team Lead

Location: Moorpark, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | M-F 7AM-4PM
Pay: $24/hr
Warehouse team lead responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while providing hands-on leadership to the team. This role ensures productivity goals are met, operational standards are followed, and team members are trained, supported, and coached for success. The ideal candidate brings strong warehouse experience, leadership capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide daily leadership, guidance, and coaching to warehouse associates.
- Delegate tasks efficiently to ensure workflow accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new team members, ensuring they understand safety procedures, job expectations, and productivity standards.
- Support conflict resolution by addressing issues promptly and professionally.
Warehouse Operations
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely (PIT-certified)
- Conduct cycle counts and support inventory control processes; identify and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in alignment with company safety policies.
- Handle tires and other heavy materials safely and efficiently
Technical & System Skills
- Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage inventory, track orders, and support workflow.
- Operate RF scanners and handheld devices for inventory tracking and order accuracy.
- Perform basic data entry and generate reports as needed.
- Utilize MS Excel, Word, and Outlook for communication and documentation.
- Follow barcode system procedures to ensure accurate tracking and identification of products.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience
- Experience handling tires is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and comfort with basic computer applications.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, coaching, and training.
- Experience meeting or helping a team meet performance metrics.
- Understanding of cycle counts, inventory control, and basic warehouse reporting.
- Proven ability to delegate tasks, manage workflow, and support team performance.
