Big Brand Tire & Service is rapidly growing and looking to add talented AR specialists to our Accounting Dept. in Moorpark CA.

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of several accounts receivable accounts with current and potential customers. This role is responsible for invoice follow up with customers on overdue accounts, provide exceptional customer service for our customers, and assist in managing account balances.

DUTIES:

Ensures collections are made on a timely basis, primarily through reminder phone calls and manual email reminders.
Liaises with Account Managers and/or AR/AP/Staff Accountants to resolve concerns.
Processing and documentation of adjustments, including write-offs, transfers and charge backs across several platforms.
Provides additional information to client to facilitate collection.
Submits a revised invoice to the client, as required.
Determines when an account has become unmanageable and provides recommendation to submit the account to an outside collection agency.
Supplies W9 forms to customers as requested.
Internal and external communication and service by working with AR/AP/Collections Manager and Account Managers to request information as needed to resolve account issues.
Audit accounts to identify accuracy of cash posting on assigned accounts.
May conduct research to resolve account issues.
Assist with special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2-5 years experience in accounting or related field.
Must maintain confidentiality and discrete handling of confidential information.
The successful candidate must have the ability to manage time and tasks effectively; the capacity for detail work and experience in systems development; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess strong Excel and Word skills and the ability to work in a team environment, yet be self-directed, as required.
Demonstrate the ability to embrace and implement change within an organization.
